Advisory Committee for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center President Search

The committee includes representatives of key Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center constituencies, including faculty, administration, staff, students and members of communities in which the Health Sciences Center operates.
The committee, working with a five-member search committee established by the Chancellor last month, will help identify potential candidates, assist with initial screenings of candidates and ensure that their respective constituency groups are kept up to date on the progress of the search.
"The committee will play an extremely important role in the search process," said Hance. "The new Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center president will work with all groups represented on the advisory panel, so it is essential that they have a voice as we move forward."
"We have an outstanding group of individuals who have agreed to serve and we are looking forward to the collaboration between the search committee and the advisory committee," Hance said.
The advisory committee members include:

- Dennis Dove, regional chairman of the Department of Surgery at 自慰视频HSC School of Medicine, Amarillo
- Scott Dueser, member of the Texas Tech Board of Regents, Abilene
- Margret Duran, director of the 自慰视频HSC Office of Student Services, Lubbock
- Shirley Garrison, community member and sponsor of 自慰视频HSC's Garrison Institute on Aging, Lubbock
- Larry Gill, community member and vice president of the Dodge-Jones Foundation, Abilene
- Alexia Green, dean of the 自慰视频HSC School of Nursing, Lubbock
- Tracilyn Hall, student in the 自慰视频HSC School of Medicine and president of the 自慰视频HSC Student Government Association, Lubbock

- Cynthia Jumper, vice chair of the Department of Internal/Pulmonary Medicine in the 自慰视频HSC School of Medicine, Lubbock

- Beverly Pevehouse, community member and local philanthropist, Midland

The new Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center president will fill a vacancy left in June 2006 when Roy Wilson, resigned. Bernhard T. Mittemeyer, is serving as interim president.
